Today I want to show a little more of the book I'm working ... ... at times.
book is the author of the bestselling novels Elm Creek Quilts, Jennifer Chiaverini.
Specifically, this quilt began with the story told in one of his books entitled "The Master Quilter" where an extraordinary quilt, made of blocks sent by family, friends and other people, celebrating the wedding of Sylvia and Andrew Bergstrom.
My book I bought here.
I fell in love with this quilt as I saw the hand of this extraordinary quilter, sewing and quilting by hand.
knew the Dear Jane quilt , made also as a sampler ....... and I follow through Georgina and superb tutorials. But I do not know why, did not catch much attention as this. Perhaps because he saw something ...... complicated with smaller blocks.
Indeed, specifically wanted to thank Georgina for helping a very generous, to begin this wonderful quilt. Thanks again for the surprise that left me more than surprised.
has two well-ordered indexes, as the name of the block with a photo and ...... alphabetical order or order index page for letter and number .
This way you can start one way or another. A principal with the numbering scheme of each block, it helps to put you're doing.
is interesting to see other models that are displayed on the inside, as variations of their own quilt.
Ya, put in place, the blocks are well explained, with a real image and the other with the composition of the block pattern, fabric distinguishing tones if you want to make another quilt with another color .
blocks handled well because the pieces are not as small as the Dear Jane.
Here the finished block has a size of 6 "x 6", 15cm x 15cm
patterns are size. It is an advantage because you have to be expanded as sometimes occurs in other books.
There are patterns to the Foundation system, in which you sew the lines above and below it is done perfectly aligned block ....... While the more traditional parts where you have to sew quilted lines that mark ......
This is an example of how I sewed a block with the first set that I have said.
much I liked the quilt of SuperGoof who, being naughty, I plan to do two quilts at once . What a gross, right! but if you think it is not so exaggerated. I have only to repeat the same pattern twice ..... and I like doing the same ....... only repeat what I just sew blue, reds now .........
By the way, follow the style of tone that has made its Nearly Insane
I was thinking about how to start, if the blocks already knew, by the easiest or simply in the order of A1, A2, A3 .... etc ......
latter seemed the better. That's going back and forth picking would give me a sense of little progress ......... and much mess .......
So started the first three in order horizontal.
Oh by the way Happy St. Joseph's Day and congratulations to those who celebrate saint today. Mercedes
