These are the first steps of this project spring. I do a mixture of patchwork and crochet. I really love different techniques together in a job and here I will try to see how it works.
I have already an idea.
First, count the charm pack Delilah Collection of Free Spirit. Its 31 square have a vintage-style fresh spring.
Although they are super simple, I love the quilts made of squares. And that's what I do here.
To make this easier I cut each square in half, resulting in a rectangle of 5 "x 2.5" and I've sewed another of the same size in white with tiny flowers.
After sewing the two pieces by the long side, I've only had to cut in half to get two pairs of squares ready to start planning the design of colors and patterns.
Meanwhile, each day, try to go about doing four of these hexagons. If you like, you can follow the tutorial Lucy and enjoy their precious work.
